I am I am so excited and looking forward to helping Drysdale Primary School celebrate 150 years of education and community building.
On Friday 17 October 2025, Drysdale Primary School is inviting previous Staff and previous School Council members to an afternoon tea.
Saturday 18 October the school will have an open day and is inviting everyone to visit 9am – 2pm. They are hoping various groups may like to be part of this event celebrating 150 years of Drysdale Primary School.
Saturday evening there is a dinner at Clifton Springs Golf Club $40 for 2 courses limited spaces – bookings via Anne Brackley.
Sunday 19 October is the Drysdale Market, another School activity and I am organising a brunch at SpringDale Neighbourhood Centre, 9am – 2pm come and have a chat and share some more time together.
We seem to have started a few competitions that I did not envisage –
- The family to have the most generations through Drysdale Primary School – so far the most seems to be 5 generations
- The person who has had the best job since attending Drysdale Primary School – please let me know the roles that you have played locally, nationally or internationally or beyond?
- The Grade that has the most attendees
The school is organising a recipe book to complement the 100 year recipe book, if you would like to share a recipe, the years you were at Drysdale Primary School and a photo of the food item please send them via Anne Brackley.
The school is also making paver tiles available for you to buy and have your name engraved on. These will be $25 and you can order your tile on the celebration weekend or prior.
We are also writing a book and will include Grade photos, stories, and local information in each of the 15 decades from 1875 to 2025. Please submit stories or photos via the button below.
If you have memorabilia or photos that you would like to share, or you’d like to help us, we’d love to hear from you. Please make contact with us, and provide details, using the 150 Years Information button below.
If you would like to subscribe to regular updates between now and October, please let us know via the 150 Years Information button below also.
