Article 27

Over the last 3 years a group of interested community members has met more than 23 times, invested more than 500 hours, we have written more than 26 articles trying to bring to the attention of the community, the many reasons why footpaths could assist our lives in many ways.

We recently met with Alison Marchant MP and Councilors Elise Wilkinson and Trent Sullivan (unfortunately Councilor Rowan Story AM, RFD was unavailable), and discussed the issues that not having footpaths can bring. We presented them with a copy of the priority footpath network for Clifton Springs and Drysdale that we have developed over the last few years. We highlighted the need for footpaths to our last remaining bank in Murradoc Road, “Community Bank Bellarine”.

In the near future we look forward to the community being asked to support the Priority Footpath Network to enable people to be able to walk across the town that we call home, safely and to the many places that we would like to be able to visit.
