SpringDale takes on or creates projects to meet community needs. Projects allow us to concentrate efforts to create a fairer society and to build capabilities within and for our community.

Over the last few years, we have been instrumental in helping the Drysdale Bypass to be built bringing more than $114 million of infrastructure to our township and the Bellarine.

We have helped to support and to lead the group that advocated for the North Bellarine Aquatic Centre and saw a 50m outdoor pool being constructed and now used by community members year-round. We continue to advocate for Stage 2 of the complex to gain the extra indoor pools and facilities that our community so desperately needs. So far this project has brought more than $15 million of infrastructure to the Bellarine with another $40 + million to follow in Stage 2.

We are currently working with City of Greater Geelong to improve footpaths across the Bellarine and especially in Drysdale Clifton Springs.

It is only with the help of the community that we can achieve these outcomes and it is only once we realise there is a need, can we try to address it.

Many needs were highlighted during a 4-day community summit held in 2011 – more than 500 people participated and we gained a clear picture of priorities. This allowed us to start to work on the list and achieve outcomes.
